YMCA of Alaska Endowment Fund

The YMCA of Alaska Endowment Fund is a long-term financial commitment that provides a stable, secure foundation for the organization’s programs and services. Gifts to the Endowment are invested, and the resulting interest is used to support critical programs that require ongoing contributions to survive

Purpose and Impact

The Endowment Fund is more than a financial reserve — it is a direct investment in the resilience and growth of the local community. It ensures that vital programs in youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility can continue to serve families across Anchorage, Mat-Su, and Kodiak, regardless of financial barriers

How to Contribute

The YMCA of Alaska offers multiple ways to give to the Endowment Fund:

Outright gifts of cash, appreciated securities, or tangible property
Wills and revocable living trusts (percentage, specific amount, or residue of estate)
Charitable trusts for life income, with the remainder to the Endowment
Appreciated assets (stock, real estate, personal property) for tax advantages
Life insurance policies naming the YMCA as beneficiary
Beneficiary designations for IRAs, pensions, bank accounts, or insurance policies

Heritage Club

All individuals that make a donate to the Endowment Fund are recognized as Heritage Club Members. The designation honors their commitment to sustaining the YMCA’s mission for future generations.
