YMCA of Alaska envisions an inspiring, exciting future in
which it is well on its way to becoming truly a statewide entity, and is recognized across Alaska as a thriving health, fitness, and well-being hub for residents of any age in every community, with expanded programs, increased membership, broader partnerships, and growing financial resources reducing financial barriers for affordable programming.

Achieving this Envisioned Future will result from the YMCA of Alaska pursuing several Strategic Priorities between 2025 and 2030

Expanding community partnerships so the Y is present in more communities and responding to what those communities say they need.

Engaging in sustainable expansion of facilities in Anchorage while focusing on program partnerships in other communities to extend the Y’s reach statewide.

Better connecting programs and clearly articulating member benefits to a growing membership base, especially outside Anchorage.

Continuing the growth of a solid and sustainable financial position to secure the Y’s future and reduce barriers to affordable programming.

Making the Y a first-choice employer where working for YMCA of Alaska is a lucrative and rewarding career.

Cultivating new and strengthening existing mutually beneficial partnerships that extend the Y’s community impact.

Ensuring the Board is well positioned to provide effective governance and building a strong foundation for effective, consistent executive leadership.
