Communities across Alaska face new challenges that create a greater need than ever before for the work we do every day. Fortunately, where some see obstacles, we see opportunities for our members, volunteers, and staff to make a difference. No other organization can impact as many people as powerfully as we do every day.
That’s why we’re putting in the effort to take on these many challenges facing our young people, our health in the Anchorage and Matsu area.

The YMCA of ALASKA takes on the most urgent needs in our communities, bringing our cause to the people and neighborhoods that need us most. We also work to inspire a spirit of service in everyone we touch. From children to seniors, we help people embrace their responsibility to their community.
Sponsorships and fund raising through our members, board of directors and staff will help create a brighter future for Anchorage and Matsu, but we must act today, and only your support will make it possible.
When you accept a sponsorship to the Y, your generosity reaches children, families, and seniors right here in Alaska.
Here are some examples of how your sponsorship makes an impact:

($2,500) provides 25 area elementary school students with Y’s before-school, after-school and summer learning programs.

($2,000) sends 20 children to Y summer camps where they engage in exciting, safe and healthy activities, as well as volunteer on projects where they learn the importance of giving back to their community.

($1,000) provides two children with six weeks of before- and after-school care in a nurturing environment, enabling working parents to be assured that their children are safe, happy, and healthy.
